Dung Tran, DDS
Dr. Tran loves getting to know each patient and building lasting relationships across generations. He enjoys creating a calm, comfortable experience and takes pride in helping patients maintain their teeth for a lifetime, improving both oral health and quality of life.
Inspiration
As a child, Dr. Tran watched his father struggle to eat, limited to soft foods because of missing teeth. Everything changed when his father’s smile and function was restored, bringing back comfort, confidence, and the simple joy of sharing meals again. That moment sparked Dr. Tran’s passion for dentistry to truly change lives.
Growing up, Dr. Tran saw firsthand how difficult it can be for families to access quality dental care. His parents often traveled long distances in search of affordable treatment, an experience that left a lasting impression. Today, as a family dentist serving Mesquite and the surrounding DFW community, Dr. Tran is committed to providing honest, high-quality dentistry in a welcoming environment where patients feel heard, respected, and confident in their care.
Through continued education, modern technology, and a focus on doing things right the first time, Dr. Tran’s goal is simple: to help patients enjoy healthy, comfortable smiles that support a better quality of life—now and for years to come.
Professional Journey
Dr. Tran's path into dentistry began as a Registered Dental Hygienist, giving him a strong foundation in prevention, patient education, and long-term oral health. Wanting to expand his ability to care for patients of all ages, he continued his education and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from UT Health Science Center San Antonio.
Committed to modern, evidence-based dentistry, Dr. Tran continues advanced training to stay current with evolving techniques and technology. This allows him to provide comprehensive general and restorative dental care, from preventive services to more advanced treatment, while keeping care efficient, comfortable, and appropriate for each patient’s needs.
Outside the Office
Outside the office, Dr. Tran enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, traveling, fishing, golfing, and staying active through basketball and fitness. He is also passionate about giving back to the community and has volunteered for years providing dental care through his church and with Mission Arlington.
